Therefore, he founded MSC in Los Angeles which has become a very well-known center in LA because of their devotion to their patients and the quality of care they deliver. Dr. Khachi is currently on USC faculty and participates actively in CAP fellows education and mentorship. The Mind Study Center (MSC) is a physician-owned, independent organization offering evidence-based psychiatric and psychological services in the Los Angeles area.   • State licensure, DEA certificate, and professional liability insurance (malpractice) covered

  • Annual educational/discretionary expenses each year

  • One hundred twenty (120) hours of paid time off (PTO) accrued per year, which may be used for sick leave or personal time off. PTO will accrue and carry over up to a maximum of 180 hours per year

Psychiatrist Position Description:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to address mental health needs in children, adolescents, young adults, and their families

  • 100% outpatient with no weekends

  • Scholarly activities are encouraged and there are opportunities to teach and mentor psychiatry residents and fellows by affiliating with nearby academic centers such as USC and UCLA

  • Excellent opportunity for career development and advancing clinical skills

Seeking Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at UIC

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking to recruit psychiatrists to our clinical faculty. These are clinician-educator positions (non-tenured) with both outpatient and inpatient opportunities tailored to suit candidates, ideally with a focus on patients in our Psychosis, Consultation/Collaborative Care, Neuropsychiatry and Women’s Mental Health programs. Positions include teaching and supervision of residents and medical students in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as shared on-call duties. Opportunities for integrated and collaborative care are available through strong partnerships with UIC OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Pediatrics. Applicants must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) and have completed an ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) accredited residency in Psychiatry. The applicant must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois and an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license, and must be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Psychiatry.

UIC Psychiatry is one of the largest departments in the Midwest, with a strong General Psychiatry Residency Training Program and several fellowships, including Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addictions, and Women’s Mental Health. Residency Training Job Opportunity in Savannah

Gateway Community Service Board in Savannah, GA is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic clinical educator to serve as an Associate Residency Program Director with the desire to transition to Program Director in the future. This is an exciting opportunity to help build an academic department structure within a community setting.

Candidates with previous experience as APD or PD may be considered for direct transition to the Program Director role. Faculty appointments are with the Mercer University School of Medicine, with which Gateway is affiliated.

Gateway’s residency program was developed to train community-focused psychiatrists with a class size of eight. Gateway seeks to provide person-centered, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, evidence-based, cost-efficient patient care across the full continuum of treatment in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities for the program director include program development and evaluation; recruiting, selecting, evaluating, and supervising residents; monitoring, evaluating and coordinating courses and rotations; chairing the residency training committee; and community engagement.

The APD opportunity will start with 0.75 FTE clinical care and 0.25 FTE education/administration.

The PD opportunity will have 0.5 FTE for clinical care and 0.5 FTE for education/administration.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • At least three years of clinical experience post residency.

  • Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

  • Prior leadership with a record of success.

  • Previous teaching experience in a psychiatry residency program.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as an associate program director or program director.

  • Experience in development, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes indicators and/or systems analysis or CQI.
