The Montefiore Medical Center Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is offering a 1-year fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Fellows train in an enriched academic atmosphere, working alongside psychiatry residents, neurology residents and medical students. In addition to working closely on daily rounds with the dedicated attendings of the Consultation Service, trainees also get specialized training in Transplant Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Integrated Care, Palliative Care and Women's Health. Academic activities include weekly literature review, Case Conferences, journal club and Grand Rounds as well as biweekly Neurology Case Conferences, co-led by our nationally known Neurology colleagues. Interested candidates have the option of pursuing graduate level certification in Bioethics and Medical Humanities. There is no night or weekend call obligation. Moonlighting and private practice opportunities are available on-site.
Applicants must have an MD or DO degree and must have completed an ACGME approved American or Canadian psychiatry residency. If not a US resident, we also accept applicants J1 or H1 visas. Interested candidates should contact rafgonza@montefiore.org
