The University of Arizona in Tucson is accepting applications for a one-year ACGME certified training program which will enable you to become board-certified in Geriatric Psychiatry. Applicants must be board-eligible in Psychiatry. We are a strong and growing program, with two large teaching hospitals, as well as opportunities to experience the full spectrum of treatment options for older adults. We have rotations at the Banner Alzheimer Institute of intensive experience in complex neurocognitive disorders, long term care settings, as well as the full range of inpatient and outpatient clinics. Our faculty is growing, headed by our new Chair, Dr. Jordan Karp.

Tucson is a lovely city in the Southwest with multiple cultural and recreational opportunities. In addition to being a UNESCO Center of Gastronomy, Tucson was named one of the 'Top five best cycling towns' in the U.S. – and the 'friendliest city' and one of the 'Top 10 U.S. cities to visit' by Conde Nast Traveler magazine, and its thriving business community – especially technology – has resulted in more than 1,200 companies employing more than 50,000 Southern Arizona residents..
